This course is designed to help students gauge and drive personal performance during their personal range days. The reality of life is such that it is unreasonable for most folks to take several courses each year. We spend the majority of our range time outside of structured courses and therefore need an understanding of how to get the most from our personal range days.

The course will start with fundamentals and progress through various manipulation techniques and then get into a healthy dose of applying shooting and manipulation techniques in movement. Students will be engaged in discussion throughout this course. This is important as it gives students a chance to think through their performance, identify successes and failures, and articulate (in their own words) why the outcome was what it was.

Engaging in thoughtful discussion when learning a new task or refining a skill is an effective way to transfer knowledge. This lets the instructor know the student understands the information being put out. Giving the student a chance to self-diagnose, and explain performance in their own words can also boost a student's confidence during the learning process. Going to a structured course shouldn't consist of a dude talking at a group, running a demo then cutting that group loose to run drills for the sake of running drills.

You won't leave class a ninja, but you will leave with the confidence to hit your next range day with purpose and a fluid plan.
